OPEN DAY AT LAKEVIEW CARE HOME

Lakeview care home in Great Wyrley is taking part in the Care Home Open day on Friday 28th June.

The idea behind the day is to encourage local people to visit care homes in their community and to work together to develop better relationships.

This important connection is something that [home name] has nurtured since opening in [add when] and the home is already acting as a community hub, including [insert any community activity you have done in the past].

As part of the Care Home Open Day 2019, Lakeview is hosting an Art Session with Local Artist Steve Tidman where visitors and residents will be creating a memory tree and 3D ‘walking in your shoes’ art work which will hopefully be displayed at Walsall Gallery in the coming months. You can see the full programme for the day under our page on the website by visiting www.carehomeopenday.org.uk.

Felicity Somerville Care Home Manager at the home, said: “This is a great way to show the excellent services on offer and the fantastic work that goes on at Lakeview. Some people still have misconceptions about care homes so we are keen to dispel any myths and for people to come and have a look around, meet the staff and our residents.”
