Healthcare Assistants – Complex Care – Days

Alpha Health Care – The Lakes Care Home / Coniston Centre in Great Wyrley are specialists in Dementia Care and are currently recruiting for dedicated and caring team players to join us as Complex Care – Healthcare Assistants.

As Healthcare Assistants, it is desirable that you have experience of a similar role in Complex Dementia Care. It is equally important that you can demonstrate the right behaviours and attitude for working in an Adult Care environment. A full induction programme will be provided, alongside formal training opportunities.

Shift pattern 8am – 8pm

Rate of pay: £9.10 per hour

The key responsibilities of our Healthcare Assistants include:

– Provide person centred care and personal care to residents in all aspects of their daily living.

– Supporting residents with individual needs such as assisting at meal times, dressing, bathing and all aspects of personal care in accordance with their individual care needs.

– Contribute fully to team working, responding positively to colleagues and undertaking all reasonable work instructions promptly.

– Understand personal responsibilities with regard to Health and Safety at Work legislation, particularly in relation to moving and handling of residents and fire safety and evacuation procedures.

Bank Healthcare Assistants – Dementia Nursing Care

Bank Healthcare Assistants based within Lakeview Care Home are required to join the professional and friendly team for our Dementia Nursing service.

We have Full and Part time positions available within the following shift patterns:



Salary is £9.10 per hour.

Job Summary

To participate fully in the daily functioning of the Lakeview care team in providing a person centred, caring and professional service to all Service Users in a safe and homely environment; working in support of the nurse in charge and alongside care assistants who they will both support and supervise.


The responsibilities linked to this position can be summarised as follows:

· Ensuring the highest standards of person centred, caring, safe, responsive and effective care is delivered to all Service Users at all times.

· Working as a team player in support of the nurse in charge and alongside care assistants who they will both support and supervise.

· Co-operating with and applying operational and environmental controls to ensure that care is delivered in a safe, consistent and collaborative manner.

· Maintaining and respecting the confidentiality of Service User’s, their relatives and all staff within the home as well as visiting professionals.

· Adhering to and promoting Safeguarding, Health and Safety and other protective measures at all times; acting on and reporting any concerns identified or raised in a prompt, professional and appropriate manner.
