Regents Court Care Home took part in the world’s biggest coffee morning on September 25 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

A coffee morning was held at Regents Court in Bromsgrove were Staff, residents and relatives made donations and enjoyed hot drinks and cakes during the event in order to raise funds for the cancer charity.

Oh, they do like to be beside the seaside!

A care home in Bromsgrove is set to bring all the fun of the seaside to its residents by recreating a day at the coast in its grounds.

Regents Court, in Stourbridge Road, which is owned by Alpha Care Homes, is set to hold a seaside themed day on Wednesday August 19th.

Staff will build a beach, complete with deckchairs, parasols and buckets and spades at the home.

Residents will enjoy a fish and chip lunch before having a sing-along to their favourite holiday tunes.

Other activities planned for the day include a Punch and Judy show and ice creams.

Karen Hancox, care home manager at Regents Court, said: “After all the rain so far in August, we are hoping the seaside day will be warm and sunny.

“As we are a long way from the coast, our residents are really looking forward to the day of seaside activities.”

Irish fun at Bromsgrove care home

A care home in Bromsgrove will turn into a sea of green for a special event inspired by the Emerald Isle.

Regents Court Care Home, in Stourbridge Road, is set to hold an Irish themed day on Sunday (12 JUL).

Residents will enjoy traditional Irish fayre for lunch including soda bread and Irish stew before being entertained with an afternoon of singing and dancing from the country.

Staff will don green clothes and decorate the home with shamrocks and Irish flags to get into the spirit of the day.

Karen Hancox, care home manager, said everyone at the home was looking forward to the event.

“There will be lots of activities going on at the home throughout the day and the residents are really looking forward to it,” she said.

“It should be a really fun celebration.”
