Laundry Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Laundry Assistant to join our team.  The contracted hours are 12 hours per week and the rate of pay is £5.80 per hour weekdays / £5.90 per hour weekends.   The working days are Fridays and Saturdays.

The duties briefly comprise:-
• To actively participate in the provision of the resident care philosophy in the care home in order to ensure the highest possible level of service is provided at all times.
• A professional, efficient and prompt laundry service is provided to residents and staff at all times.
• All washing is laundered as instructed and ironing and minor repairs are carried out as instructed by senior staff and residents.
• To ensure the Laundry area is thoroughly cleaned every day including floor.
• To ensure laundry is placed in correct rooms and kept tidy and appropriate respect and care of resident property is displayed at all times.
• All equipment provided in the care home is used properly and in accordance with operating instructions.
• Full awareness and compliance of care/home/company policies and procedures is achieved and when co-operation is given with training in any changes and updates to such policies and procedures.
• To ensure all laundry is labelled with appropriate residents names
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene control and practices at all times.  Establish regular cleaning schedules and keep accurate documentation as required.
• To actively participate as a team member of the care home.
• To ensure that all relevant health & safety procedures are observed at all times.
• All health & safety, fire, environmental and other legal requirements are properly observed without exception.
