Seaside Day at Cloisters Care Home

A care home in Hounslow is set to bring all the fun of the seaside to its residents by recreating a day at the coast in its grounds.

Cloisters Care Home held a seaside themed day on Tuesday (25th August)).

Staff built a beach complete with deckchairs, parasols and buckets and spades at the Bath Road home.

Residents enjoyed a fish and chip lunch before having a sing-a-long to their favourite holiday tunes.

Other activities held throughout the day included a Punch and Judy show and ice creams.

Alex Henderson, the home’s activities coordinator, said everyone really enjoyed the day.

“It’s very difficult to arrange for our residents to go the beach so we decided to bring the seaside to the care home to enable everyone to enjoy a day out without having to leave the grounds,” she said.

“It was a really great day and lots of fun was had by everyone involved.”

Cloisters Fun Day

Cloisters Care Home in Bath Road Hounslow held a fun-packed family fun day on Sunday 21st June.

The event included Face Painting, Karaoke a table top sale and raffle along with an Owl display.

All residents, family members and staff were invited along to join in the fun and the event was throughly enjoyed by all.
